Pro-Huntsman group runs new ad urging NH to "stop the chameleon"
EXETER, N.H. (AP) ' A group organized to help Republican presidential contender Jon Huntsman is going after Mitt Romney in a new television ad that's scheduled to begin airing across New Hampshire this weekend.
An adviser to the Our Destiny political action committee says the ad describes Romney as a candidate who will say anything to get elected. The ad urges New Hampshire voters to "stop the chameleon." The adviser was not authorized to speak publicly.
The group has spent nearly $2 million on advertising in New Hampshire to help Huntsman.
Its latest ad buy, worth $300,000, comes a day after Huntsman told The Associated Press he's likely to drop out of the race unless he finishes in the top three in New Hampshire's Jan. 10 primary.
Huntsman is skipping Tuesday's Iowa caucuses.
