After losing brother in 9/11, worker fiercely dedicated to rebuilding World Trade Center
NEW YORK (AP) ' Rebuilding the World Trade Center is more than a job for project manager Brian Lyons.
Lyons has spent 10 years at the site since his brother was killed in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. Lyons rushed down to look for his firefighter brother Michael after the attacks. Then he stayed to help with the rescue and recovery ' and then to rebuild.
Now Lyons oversees work on the $3.4 billion transportation hub designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava. He no longer calls the site ground zero. It's the World Trade Center again.
Workers are rushing to prepare the site for the ceremony marking the 10th anniversary of the attacks. Lyons and his family will be among those seeing their loved ones' names on the memorial for the first time.
