Romney's new SC campaign ad rips NLRB's challenge to Boeing plant, criticizes Obama
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) ' Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney is airing a new TV ad in South Carolina with a script Gov. Nikki Haley helped inspire.
In the ad that begins running Thursday, Romney criticizes the National Labor Relations Board for actions that threatened jobs at a Boeing Co. plant in North Charleston.
The NLRB charged that the company was building its South Carolina facility in retaliation over labor contract fights.
Haley has told GOP presidential candidates they'd have to say where they stood on the issue when they campaigned in South Carolina.
The issue was resolved last month when Boeing and the union reached a contract extension and the NLRB dropped its legal action.
In the ad, Romney says President Barack Obama played politics with the issue.
