Rutgers student says he was told about webcam
Ex-Rutgers Frisbee team captain says student told him about webcam spying on roommate
By The Associated Press

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (AP) ' The former captain of Rutgers University's club Ultimate Frisbee team says a teammate told him about trying to use a webcam to "capture images of his roommate."

The testimony from Jeffrey Irving came Thursday in the fifth day of testimony in the trial of Dharun Ravi (dah-ROON' RAH'-vee). Ravi is charged with invasion of privacy, bias intimidation and other crimes.

Ravi's roommate, Tyler Clementi, committed suicide days after the alleged spying in September 2010. Ravi is not charged with the death.

Irving says Ravi seemed uncomfortable with the possibility that his roommate was gay.
