Sense of fear from Oklahoma City bombing lingers at 10th anniversary of Sept. 11 attacks
By The Associated Press

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) ' Before Sept. 11, there was April 19 ' when a truck bomb ripped apart a federal building in Oklahoma City and proved that anyone, anywhere, could be attacked.

As the nation prepares for the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, many Oklahoma residents are still coping with fear or anxiety from that 1995 bombing. Some say loud noises or images of war still put them on edge.

When a Molotov cocktail blew up alongside an Oklahoma City home this summer, killing an elderly couple, many people's thoughts and talk instantly turned back to Timothy McVeigh's bombing that killed 168 people, including 19 children.

It remains the nation's worst act of domestic terrorism.

In the latest case, authorities say a teenager was playing with Molotov cocktails before the fatal fire.
