Sentencing postponed for SC mom in sons' deaths
Sentencing delayed for SC mom who pleaded guilty in deaths of 2 sons she admitted suffocating

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) ' Sentencing has been postponed for a South Carolina mother who has pleaded guilty to killing her two young sons and putting their bodies in a car that rolled into a river.

Thirty-year-old Shaquan Duley (shah-KWAHN' DOO-lee) pleaded guilty to murder in court in Orangeburg on Friday morning.

She faces between 30 years and life in prison when she is sentenced. Circuit Judge Edgar Dickson postponed sentencing until another hearing the week of March 26.

The bodies of 2-year-old Devean and 18-month-old Ja'van were found in the Edisto River on August 16, 2010. Duley initially told police she fell asleep at the wheel before the car went into the river about 40 miles south of Columbia.

Police later determined the boys were suffocated in a motel.
