Sheriff: Suspect in Nevada IHOP shooting was 32-year-old man
CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) ' Authorities have released the name of the man who shot five uniformed National Guard members at a Nevada IHOP, killing two of them and another person in a hail of gunfire.
Carson City Sheriff Kenny Furlong says the man was 32-year-old Eduardo Sencion of Carson City. He says Sencion worked at a family business in South Lake Tahoe.
Furlong says Sencion arrived at the IHOP Tuesday morning in a minivan registered to his brother. He had a rifle and began shooting in and around the restaurant.
Authorities say Sencion wounded a total of six people and killed a third person who was not a Guard member.
Furlong says the gunman also shot himself and was transported to a Reno hospital, where he died.
