SpaceX founder Elon Musk speaks to Caltech grads
SpaceX founder Elon Musk addresses Caltech graduates on space exploration
By The Associated Press

PASADENA, Calif. (AP) ' The founder of rocket startup SpaceX says he would like to see humans settle Mars and hopes the young generation will help make it happen.

Elon Musk addressed graduates at the California Institute of Technology on Friday, just weeks after SpaceX became the first private company to make a supply run to the International Space Station.

Musk told the graduates to "go out there and create some magic."

With the space shuttle fleet retired, NASA is counting on commercial companies to fill the void. SpaceX's unmanned Dragon capsule splashed down in the Pacific on May 31 after a virtually flawless nine-day test flight that included docking with the space station and delivering supplies.

The 40-year-old entrepreneur founded SpaceX 10 years ago and is looking to go beyond Earth orbit.
