Strauss-Kahn believed to be on Paris-bound plane
Strauss-Kahn believed to be on Paris-bound plane from NYC, would be 1st return since arrest
By The Associated Press

NEW YORK (AP) ' Former International Monetary Fund leader Dominique Strauss-Kahn is believed to be on a flight that has left New York for Paris.

Strauss-Kahn and wife Anne Sinclair arrived at an Air France terminal at New York's Kennedy Airport Saturday afternoon. French media had reported he was expected to board a plane back to Paris on Saturday.

The airline's computerized flight status system reported that the flight departed at 7:29 p.m. EST. It was due to arrive Sunday morning in Paris.

It would be the former French presidential contender's first return home since he was arrested in New York in May when a hotel maid accused him of trying to rape her. Prosecutors dropped the sexual assault charges against him last week. The maid is continuing to press her claims in a lawsuit.

Strauss-Kahn denies the allegations.
