Strauss-Kahn lawyers seek records from NYC hotel in connection to civil suit filed by maid
NEW YORK (AP) ' Dominique Strauss-Kahn's lawyers are seeking records from a New York City hotel as they fight a lawsuit by a maid who says the former International Monetary Fund leader sexually assaulted her.
They want to learn about phone calls, and who came into the Strauss-Kahn's hotel room.
Those requests and a slew of others were made in subpoenas to the Sofitel hotel.
Nafissatou Diallo (na-fee-SAH'-too dee-AH'-loh) maintains that Strauss-Kahn attacked her on May 14 in his swank suite at the midtown Manhattan hotel. Criminal charges against Strauss-Kahn were dropped. He has since gone back to France.
Lawyers for the hotel's parent company have pushed on back on some of the requests, saying they were overly broad.
Other requests include records of any statement by any hotel employee concerning the alleged assault.
