'The Book of Mormon' to land in Chicago for 12-week stand at Bank of America Theatre
CHICAGO (AP) ' There's hope for folks frustrated about not being able to get tickets to Broadway's "The Book of Mormon" ' go West.
Producers of the Tony Award-winning musical say they will launch a new company originating in Chicago beginning in December 2012. The show is scheduled for a 12-week engagement at the Bank of America Theatre.
The musical was written by the "South Park" creators and is about two Mormon missionaries in Africa. It won nine Tonys, including best musical, and has been a critical and box office darling.
If New York and Chicago are still out of reach, there's always the national tour, which makes its first stop in Denver in December 2012.
