The longest course at par 70, a tough finish
Players face a long course at the PGA, with the worst of it saved for last
By The Associated Press

JOHNS CREEK, Ga. (AP) ' Martin Kaymer thought the finishing stretch at the PGA Championship last year was among the toughest he had ever seen. Then he came to Atlanta Athletic Club.

The final four holes include a pair of par 3s over 200 yards ' one of them a whopping 260 yards ' that must carry a pond. One of the par 4s is 476 yards uphill. The closing hole is 507 yards, with a lake in front of the green, so daunting that David Toms chose to lay up when he won the PGA here 10 years ago.

Kaymer's assessment: "I would rather play the last four holes at Whistling Straits. They were a lot more difficult here."
