Voeckler wins tough 16th Tour stage in Pyrenees
Thomas Voeckler wins Tour de France 16th stage over 4 climbs in Pyrenees; Wiggins holds lead
By The Associated Press

BAGNERES-DE-LUCHON, France (AP) France's Thomas Voeckler has won the 16th stage of the Tour de France over four huge climbs in the Pyrenees.

Bradley Wiggins, trailing several minutes behind, was keeping pace Wednesday with his main rivals and appeared set to retain the yellow jersey for a 10th straight day.

The Tour was riding under a new doping cloud after RadioShack team leader Frank Schleck left the race Tuesday after testing positive for a banned diuretic.

Schleck missed the 122.4-mile mountainous ride Wednesday from Pau to Bagneres-de-Luchon in the Pyrenees. He was informed by cycling authorities of a positive doping test conducted after Saturday's stage.

RadioShack said Schleck would be suspended if the backup sample comes back positive.
