Senate panel approves Comey to be next FBI director

By DMO Affiliate
The U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee unanimously approved President Barack Obama's nomination of James Comey as FBI Director. The New Jersey raised Republican had earlier served in the Justice Department as well as private firms. The nomination now goes to the full Senate, which is expected to confirm Comey to replace Robert Mueller, who has led the bureau since shortly before the September 11, 2001 attacks on the United States.
