Tens of thousands of supporters of ousted Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi continued to fortify their sit-ins in Cairo, amid recent threats from the police that the protesters would be forced out if they refuse to go. Outside the sit-ins, police fired tear gas as clashes erupted in front of government buildings in the heart of the city.
