Rafael Nadal Wins U.S. Open

By DMO Affiliate
After a 3 hour and 21 minute match, Rafael Nadal took down the number one player Novak Djokovic, making this his second US open title. Nadal celebrated the win by rolling on the floor in the world's largest tennis arena, and sobbing. The win marks a come-back for the Nadal who just a year earlier had taken a 7 month sabbatical to nurse his fragile knees. Rafael expressed his joy by saying, "this is probably the most emotional one in my career. I felt that I did everything right to have my chance here. You play one match against one of the best players in the history. I know I have to be almost perfect to win. It means a lot for me to have this trophy with me today." As the US Open champion, he collects $3.6 million in prize money, including $1 million bonus.
