'Rasputin' Premieres In Moscow Without Star Gerard Depardieu

By DMO Affiliate
The Russian version of the long-awaited French-Russian co-production Rasputin , starring Gerard Depardieu, premiered in Moscow on Wednesday. However, the French actor, who got Russian citizenship early this year, didn't show up for the premiere. The film was initially made for French television and directed by Josee Dayan. Irakli Kvirikadze was brought in to work on the Russian version, which was substantially re-edited, redubbed and used new music.
