Double elimination style college baseball tournaments lend themselves to second chances more often than a lot of things in life. Two days ago, Ole Miss dropped its opening game of the SEC Tournament. Rebels needing a win against Auburn to avoid an early departure in the quarterfinals in Hoover. Ole Miss wins 7-0. They will face Texas A&M in the semi-finals at noon tomorrow.   [READ MORE]

He did get a chance to practice with his team in the spring, but now they team is off until after summer break. The Beau Rivage is getting ready to rumble over the weekend in Biloxi. Premier Boxing Champions Promotions are hosting a boxing event on Saturday that will feature Eddie Ramirez and Argenis Mendez in a 140 pound showdown. Twenty-five year-old Ramirez is 17-1 with 11 knockouts. Thirty-one year-old Mendez has 24 victories and five losses with 12 knockouts. Tickets start at $20 and the doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Ring Announcer Ray Flores tells News 25 this is a great event to attend for Memorial Day Weekend. “It’s a can’t miss event. Tickets start as low as $20 and on this Memorial Day Weekend, we are honoring men and women, all of those in our United States Armed Forces, the military gets discounted tickets. We thank them for that. We have 11 fights on the card. Tickets start at $20.
