MSNBC and Matthew Hiltzik, a representative of Alec Baldwin, have released a statement: "We are jointly confirming that Up Late will not continue on MSNBC." MSNBC has also released a statement that clarifying that it is a "mutual parting and we wish Alec all the best." Page Six originally reported that Baldwin had been fired. His weekly show, Up Late With Alec Baldwin, was originally pulled off the air for two weeks following an incident in which Baldwin fired a homophobic slur at a photographer.
