In the past nine years, New York's Carnegie Hall tributes to pop icons have raised more than $1 million for music education programs for underprivileged youth. Next year, the tradition will continue — with a night honoring Paul Simon, on March 31. The annual fundraisers, organized by impresario Michael Dorf to serve programs offered by various organizations, has previously honored the music of Prince, Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Elton John, R.E.M.
