The Super Beetle provides quick getaways, thanks to the generous low-rpm torque and optional, quick-shifting six-speed automated gearbox, or DSG in VW-speak. On the other hand, the electronic throttle produces a split-second lag when you press on the gas pedal, which gets irritating. Sporty driving is encouraged in the 2013 Volkswagen Super Beetle, thanks to a dynamic suspension setup and great steering feel. However, compared to a GTI, the souped-up Bug exhibits a little more body roll, as it's a little heavier and stands higher above the ground. Still, there's a lot of fun to be had here.
