Porsche 911 Carrera 4 ( 964) appeared in 1988. After fifteen years of production, the 911 platform was radically renovated to incorporate 85% of new components. Your boxer engine, 3.6-liter air-cooled, developing 250 horsepower. Outwardly the little 964 differed from its predecessors. However, inside itself that was quite different. The new model was designed not only to captivate drivers with their athletic performance, but also with increased comfort. A revolutionary new line member 911 from its launch was the Carrera 4 wheel drive. Alongside versions Carrera Coupe, Cabriolet and Targa, from 1990 customers could also order 964 Turbo. Initially it was powered by a 3.3-liter boxer engine, but in 1992 the Turbo received a more powerful engine, 3.6 liters and 360 horses. Today, the 964 Carrera RS , 911 Turbo S and 911 Carrera 2 Speedster are quoted especially among collectors.
