Shaken By Fire On Nanded Bangalore Train, Kharge Assures Steps To Prevent Recurrence

Union Railway Minister Mallikarjun Kharge said Saturday that necessary steps will be taken to prevent further incidents after the cause for the fire in the Nanded-Bangalore Express is established. At least 23 people were killed and nine others injured after a fire broke out in an air conditioned bogie of the Nanded-Bangalore Express in Andhra Pradesh's Anantapur District early Saturday. Media reports said the fire broke out in the second air conditioned bogie of the train that was going from Bangalore to Nanded. There were at least 64 passengers in the bogie.
