LEXINGTON, Ky (WTVQ) - For the third time in five years, the St. X baseball team won a state championship. On Saturday, the Tigers defeated the Highlands Bluebirds 10-6 to win the 2018 KHSAA State Baseball Championship. LEXINGTON, Ky (WTVQ) - On Saturday, two teams entered Whitaker Bank Ballpark in hopes of winning a state title. St. Xavier and Highlands would battle for a chance to take that title trophy back home. It would be a Ryan Nicholson two-run homer to take the lead in the bottom of the fifth that would blow this one wide open. Andrew Littlefield would hit a three-run homer in the sixth to end it.
