In 2013, Volkswagens global sales increased 5% to more than 9.7 million vehicles sold. The company said it expects sales to increase by about the same percentage in 2014. But in the U.S., Volkswagens sales fell 2% last year. Michael Horn, CEO of Volkswagen of America, 52, is charged with reversing Volkswagens slide. He replaced Jonathon Browning, who presided over rapid growth between 2010 and 2012 when the Tennessee plant opened.
