The Mazda 3 it was up against is a fantastic small car, of course, the Cadillac CTS won Motor Trend Car of the Year, so it was a tough battle there, but I think for me when you just look at the specification on the Corvette, when you look at its performance, it's value, what it can do, and how much it's put a shiver of fear down the spines of people at Ferrari and Porsche, it doesn't matter what it would look like I still want to drive it. I still think people are excited about it and then you see what it looks like well I think that's what kind of cleared it as North American Car of the Year," said James Bell the head of Consumer Affairs for General Motors.
