The 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi are right around the corner and everyone from the athletes to the media are gearing up for the big event. But this Olympic season seems to have raised more security concerns than in the past and as a result, the games will be held inside of a ring of steel, a $2 billion anti-terror perimeter which includes 1,500 miles of fencing. The Insider sat down with NBC News Chief Foreign Correspondent Richard Engel Wednesday who explained just what the ring of steel is about.
