Lindsey Vonn Wipes Out, Fails to Finish Race at World Cup Super-G Race

By Clip Syndicate
Lindsey Vonn failed to finish her run at the World Cup Super-G Race in France Sunday after falling about 45 seconds into her session. The American skiing sensation started her race out strong, but ultimately ended up in the snow after clipping a gate. She slid down the mountain for 10 seconds before finally coming to a halt when ski patrol helped her remove her skis. Fortunately, she was OK and was able to walk off on her own two feet. Vonn told NBC Sports, "The snow was kind of breaking up, I hit some soft stuff and wasn't able to make the gate. That happens sometimes in super-G. It's difficult to gauge how fast you're going to be going in some sections." Vonn had a minor elbow injury, which she described as "just a bruise." She added, "My knees are fine. That's the most important thing."
