"thats why we are leaving tonight i didnt know we would be number one and getting a bye we bought these plane tickets a while ago and thought we would be playing thursday but when i saw our team and saw how talented we were i definitely thought we had a chance" --the men also earning a first round bye... --the 2 seed u-a-a will open again the winner of the montana state billings, western oregon quarterfinal match up --the seawolves split this season against both the yellowjackets and the wolves... --that game is friday at 4-15 pm alaska time "its a new beginning we know where we are at and what we have to do now i think weve improved over the last week and half we have identified a few things and the kids bought in to the little changes we make" historically, the seawolves are 3 and 6 all time at the gnac tournament... well on the eve of game day the aces find themselves without michael garteig...as the goaltender has been reassigned to utica... --garteig has played 22 games for the glacier blue...going 11-6-1 and 2 with a 906 save percentage... --with kevin carr as the lone netminder on the road...the aces have signed salt lake city native jay stevens as an emergency back up --the aces begin a 3 game series with the utah grizzlies tomorrow...at the maverik center in utah and finally...the 2017 alaska age group swim championships were held in fairbanks over the weekend... --northern lights swim club...getting the win with 647 points...nlsc also earning the points per swimmer award --runner up was the aurora swim team...with 428 points...and third glacier swim club with 373
