Plus the latest from the USA national hockey tournament and APD was playing basketball in Fairview. http://chic.clipsyndicate.com/video/playlist/12452/6865577?cpt=8&wpid=2637 KTUU the end. -- tonight aces fans officially say goodbye with no more games left on the regular season, and playoff hopes squashed. -- folks enjoyed their final three periods of aces hockey. -- the sullivan arena was packed with past and present players to bid farewell to a franchise that spent twenty eight years in anchorage. -- but there was a game to play tonight as the aces face off with the steelheads "you know it took us about nine periods to score some goals..you "you know it took us about nine periods to score some goals..you know its hard to get those goals..tthey didn't stop.they didn't stop they kept cheering..they kept us in..thanks to all the fans and all the organizations of the aces....everyone was great today." from professional hockey to youth hockey...many alaska teams wrapping up at nationals today. -- this a look at the tier one boy teams. -- the 14 and under oilers losing to 5 to 2....the 15-u team falling to the c-c-y-h-a selcts ... two to one in overtime the tier two boys -- all 14 and under teams winning which means they will face each other in the quarterfinals. -- both the sixteen and under teams losing. -- the tier two eighteen and under wolves losing today to the maine moose ... ending their season. in girls tier two hockey ... the pioneers losing to the north shore vipers...while the north stars win a close one. from hockey to the hardwood. kids put their basketball skills to the test against some of anchorage's finest. officers from the the anchorage police department and kids ages eight to seventeen played in the hoops for unity tournament....at the fairview recreation center. the event is meant to help relationships between a-p-d and the youth. many community leaders were at todays tournament including anchorage mayor ethan berkowitz.. no word on his shot.but team brooklyn did win it all when we come back ...droids, blasters, and spaceships
