[laughter] >> surae: deb, you consult these women. tell me how important it is to foster of the business atmosphere. >> guest: i'm the consult at the salt lake chamber. we're funded in part through a grant from the u.s. small business procedure. we work with women who are parts of napo. we like to get people to start, run and grow their dreams. i have the privilege of doing that. the consultations are free of charge. i like to say people have prepaid for those, because it's federal tax dollars at its best. >> surae: well, let's talk about the fruits of their labor. i mean to be able to see these women succeed after you give some guidance. >> guest: yeah, absolutely. so there's many ways that we track that obviously just through growth, access to capital, adding employment. you know, employees to their scope of practice. or new website, social media, all of those different things. we've had a gamut -- it runs the gamut of business owners. navo is one of the great organizations that we run events and training to expand the entrepreneurial ecosystem here. >> surae: jodi, how important is it to have women be owners of business and be part of our communities? >> guest: well, women are starting more businesses. statistically in the community, the men these days are graduating with degrees. statistical more than men these days, and they're a big impact to our community here in utah. we need to support women. this conference gives us an opportunity to collaborate and educate and take time out of your busy day being a mom and business owner and an entrepreneur. and celebrate and refresh and recharge, and expand our horizons. >> surae: let's talk about this event happening wednesday. >> guest: wednesday at the university of utah from 7:30 to 2:00. tickets are still available. you can go to our website www.naboslc.org/events or our facebook page. >> surae: excellent. this is an all day event. when are the awards being given out? >> guest: the awards start at noon. you can come for the conference. we have great speakers, key note speaker shannon burke, two time olympic medallist winner. and break-out sessions. and the awards
