http://chic.clipsyndicate.com/video/playlist/12449/6983220?cpt=8&wpid=2637 Sat, 01 Jul 2017 06:28:09 +0000 Sports Saturday July 1 The Bucs and Miners battle it out for first place, Anchorage’s Isaiah Saville makes the USA U-18 hockey team, and Dimond’s Jesse Boese takes his talents to Skagit Valley. http://chic.clipsyndicate.com/video/playlist/12449/6983220?cpt=8&wpid=2637 KTUU miners taking on the second place buccos. the bucs just half a game back of that top spot coming into this game. we head to the bottom of the third inning...gunnnar schubert....sneaky goood with the bunt there..grabs two bags on that play. next batter todd lot runner on third....lott hits this ball on a line but the left fielder is there..schubert tags and after a play at the plate would score. bucs would lead two to one until the eigth when nick brooks hit a solo home run to tie it. this game would go eleven innnings, miners win after a go ahead single from quin cotton speaking of a-b-l stars aaron judge and the yankees in action against the astros in houston. top of the fifth yankees down two...judge hits a liner up the middle...altuve makes the incredible grab...and robs him of two r-b-i's. exaclty a inning later judge at the plate again with two outs...wild pitch....thats good enough to score gardner. yankees trail early but then cruise to victory in this one winning thirteen to four. rough day for aaron judge he went oh for four. in rookie ball for the san diego padres..south anchorages jonny homza five games into his professional career. so far he has played the team's first four games batting two seventy three with four r-b-i's splitting time between d-h and catcher. he's starting to make it a summer tradition. west anchorage's very own isaiah saville making the u-s-a hockey under eighteen select team. this goaltender will be going international.as the u-eighteen team is set to play in the ivan hlinka memorial cup in the czech republic and slovakia this august saville is just one of nine players who helped the u.s. under-17 select team win the 2016 under-17 five nations tournament in frisco texas. in febuarary he made the announcement he will be committing to play for the university of nebraska omaha. saville not the only anchorage athelte making moves. dimond basketball's jesse boese signing he letter of intent to play basketball with skagit valley community college next season joining the same conference as his teammate anthony parker. boese was a three sport letterman for the lynx winning a state championship in basketball, and was all conference in both basketball and baseball. his family tells k- t-u-u he wants to study engineering when goes to college. speaking of hoops n-b-a free agency is underway and it has certaintly lived up to the hype. we'll start with the richest deal ever in the history of the league. steph curry and the golden state warriors guard have inked a five- year, 201-million- dollar super-max deal to stay with the team. he will average 40-million per season after previously being on a four-year, 44-million contract extension. the warriors, winners of the last two-out-of- three n-b-a titles when we come back....
