"ci living" is celebrating everything happening in our town matoon. you will discover a good cup of coffee and sweet treats when you come to town sponsoring our in your community segment mark's my store and crave coffee and cafe, we have the owners and operators here. mark, i'll start with you. mark, let's talk about it. you're no stranger to the grocery business. >> born and raced since i was 16 years old. >> worked your way up, and now you have your own little business here. what do you have to offer? >> we also hang our hat on the meat department. fresh-cut meat, butcher in-house every day, angus-choice beef, and then all the other departments that go along with it for fresh produce and deli also. >> you mentioned pastries. is there where you come in, gretchen, with crave? >> yeah. i mean, we get all our pastries, the majority of them mark's my store. we call it the best-kept seek yet in coles county. yeah, we feature a lot of the pastries from the store at crave. >> you just recently opened up in june. what's the response been like so far? >> the outpouring from the community is amazing. we didn't expect it to be as overwhelming as it has been, the turnout. it's great. >> you're an official barista. what kind of training did you have to do to get the title? >> i had to go to in-class training and do hands-on training and a handwritten test and hands-on test to prove i can do it properly. >> that you can handle the beans? >> that's right. i had to know about different beans, so i had to learn all of it. >> you don't appreciate what a barista has to go through, right? mark's my store. where did that name came from? >> my store was the name of the store before i bought it. when we bought it, we added mark, my name to it, to put a twist on it. >> you have a grand opening to celebrate being here in our town matoon. where is it? >> july 31st through august 5th. we have the ribbon-cutting at 9:00 a.m. with the chamber and commerce and hopefully the mayor will attend to the 31st. we will run specials all week long for crave. >> let's talk a little bit also about what it means to be a part of our town matoon. what do you enjoy most about it? >> the big event for us to have you guys here and to be able to celebrate with us. hometown people, hometown crowd and that's what it's all about. >> we appreciate you spending the afternoon here with us. for more information on mark's my store and crave,
