Each kit includes a pitcher and some start up cash to own and operate a lemonade stand in hopes of teaching kids the importance of running a business http://chic.clipsyndicate.com/video/playlist/12463/7003385?cpt=8&wpid=2637 WCIA a group getting started on entrepreneurship. >> that's right. we do here at washington savings bank. they teach the kids the importance of running a business. i have jessica wright here with me with two people in the lemonade stand program. let's talk about what you all are doing there to teach kids this valuable lesson. >> so, we started this new program this year called wsb sometimes ceo. we give the kids a lemonade kit with a pitcher and $2 start-up cash and other things they need like sanitizing wipes. then they get to start their own lemonade stand. >> they get this fun little button that says wsb summertime ceo. you're the ceo of this lemonade stand. why did you want to get started doing this? >> because we wanted to do this to donate money to our cousin, dale. he is a year old, and he had to have a heart transplant and he was in the hospital for a year. we're donating it to a 5k that is to donate all the money they make from the 5k to other kids who have to have a heart transplant. >> that's super cool. >> remind me your name? >> i'm ella laster. >> you're a ceo, too. >> navea. >> what are you raising money for? >> the same thing. >> they're partners. >> this is available for kids 6 and 10. you're different ages, right? >> yeah. >> you're a little older, i guess? >> yeah. >> are you thinking at all about opening your own business maybe someday? >> yeah, kind of. maybe. >> what was the hard part about this? you got $2 of money, but you had to get other investors, diplomat you? >> yeah. >> who did you get? >> we got our friend to help us out. >> can we talk about the different kinds of lemonade that you have over there? i see some yummy-looking pink lemonade. >> look at that. >> i think there was a customer who was coming up as soon as we started. what do you have here to offer people who come out to "our town mattoon"? >> we're offering rice crispy treats, a bunch of cookies, and banana bread. >> let's close the deal here. ready? here comes someone. try to make a sale. >> okay. hi, sir. >> how are you? >> what are you interested in buying? >> cookies. >> what did you get? >> i haven't finished yet. >> you better talk to somebody here who is in charge. >> he's still shopping. >> there we go. >> sell them. >> we're donating money to our cousin, dale, who had to have a heart transplant. >> oh, good. so these will be go to helping someone in need? >> that's right. >> i'll buy a couple more. >> he needs a whole handful. >> who made all these? >> we did yesterday. >> wow. so they're fresh, too? >> yes. >> all the better. >> i'm going to let her finish up the sale. jessica, remind everyone here how to get their own lemonade kit. >> stop by the bank. we have an application process like if you had a business. you fill it out and discuss how you make the stand different, selling baked goods and selling jokes and whatever you want to do. >> thank you so much. we'll definitely connect everybody with washington state bank
