Sunday, July 16th, 2017 Kristen Nielsen reports http://chic.clipsyndicate.com/video/playlist/12463/7003458?cpt=8&wpid=2637 WJET a local group of filmmakers called weekend films turned the main dining hall of the brewerie into a halloween party.this year's scream queen is a movie written by, starring and being filmed by erie residents. today they filmed the climax of the movie, but don't worry... no spoilers here.kristen nielsen got the inside scoop. 3 this year's scream queen is a movie written by kalli oberlander who also plays the lead role of ivy miller in the film. oberlander is an erie native who graduated from penn state behrend in december of 2015 with a degree in creative writing. this is the fourth film she has written. and the second she has starred in.lee heart is miller's competition in the film and is played by jessica mcnulty.the plot of the movie involves 2 horror actresses fighting for the title of this year's scream queen. 3 "this is like the final party scene where the two women come out from their big cat fight. so everybody kind of sees it kinda like, 'what's happening'... and then there is a victor and she will grab her crown and declare her victory."miller, who is defending the title for a third year is provoked by her running-mate who plays a more innocent role, claiming she was inspired to become an actress by miller herself. 3 "she's really sweet but she knows how to throw down when the dice are on the table." table." the film's crew, who primarily live in erie, are excited to see the vision of oberlander's come to life. life.
