((brianna))nick, around seven last night, firefighters were called to the "pocono square mall" off route's formerly known as foxmoor village. a movie theater, fireworks store, and part of a flea market were wiped out. ((brianna))arthur thomas- bushkill"it's really bad."it looked like a movie scene... christopher isolda- assistant manager, poconos movieplex "just exploding out, glass exploding. i was like wow, i was inside that building."... only this was real life.elisa kitt- owner, crystal pearl boutique"i'm still in shock. i dont know what to think." during routine theater checks, christopher isolda saw smoke pouring into the "poconos movieplex". mid showings, the assistant manager frantically ordered everyone out of the building.christopher isolda- assistant manager, poconos movieplex"everyone was just staring at the blaze. it was crazy."the next morning... tattered curtains [07:03]... burnt theater seats [01:42]... and crumbled movie posters [57:56] are all that's left... "got here by 25 after 7 and it was engulfed"... elisa kitt's handmade jewerly business next door... also destroyed.elisa kitt- owner, crystal pearl boutique"there was a lot of vendors in there that lost their whole livelyhood.""the rest of this plaza is a flea market that operates on weekends and most holidays. the stores closed down about two hours before this massive fire."crews say it took an 'all hands on deck' effort to put out the fast moving blaze. the fire chief says the roof quickly collapsed.elisa kitt- owner, crystal pearl boutique "and that's devastating."a large crowd gathered to see the damage in person.arthur thomas remembers watching movies here.arthur thomas- bushkill"i've been around where i've seen fires. this is something else."more than a dozen people are out of jobs, but employees are just relieved nobody was hurt. christopher isolda- assistant manager, poconos movieplex "because it could have been way way worse" ((brianna))by the way, the theater was not full when the fire broke out. the marshalls creek fire chief says this doesn't appear suspicious. determining how the fire started will take days, or even weeks. an excavator has already started tearing down that section of the plaza. live in the control center brianna strunk eyewitness news. the last fire in that plaza happened in 2009... when a furniture store burnt down. a state police fire marshal ruled that arson.
