http://chic.clipsyndicate.com/video/playlist/12451/7042422?cpt=8&wpid=2637 Sun, 13 Aug 2017 02:39:58 +0000 Bulldog Insider feature: wide receivers Scott Bemis takes a look at arguably the most talented position group at Fresno State this season. http://chic.clipsyndicate.com/video/playlist/12451/7042422?cpt=8&wpid=2637 KSEE 1 :03 :25 bryan harsin "we're always really proud of our former broncos that are out there in this profession, and there's a lot of them, there's a lot of former broncos out there and i think when guys come through our program, they learn the game, they love the game, and when you're done, it's one of those where you know what, this is a progression that i want to continue to stay in. kirby moore "learning from coach petersen, and all the great coaches i was able to play for in boise, learned a lot of stuff off the field, and so, a lot of that stayed with me and i'm trying to bring that here" andrew coaches corner, brought to you by xfinity. kirby moore used to be a boise state bronco. now he's a bulldog who...on november 25th...will try to beat the broncos. coach tedford brought him from washington to be fresno state's wide receivers coach. and as scott bemis tells us, he inherited a pretty talented group... scott :23-:27 :50-:54 1:29-1:32 1:48-1:52 montage of sots "as a group, they're the strongest group we have" "i think our receiving core is a very special group" "we definitely have some talent in the room, guys who've played and done a lot of good things here" but coming off a 1-and-11 season... the bulldog receivers are flying a little under the radar... at least according to the mountain west media... who didn't vote any of em onto the preseason all-conference team. jamire jordan sot "it is what it is, i mean, they'll see, they'll see " the group's headliners are juniors jamire jordan and keesean johnson. both finished in the top 10 in the conference in receiving yards last year. jordan's been lined up in the slot the last couple years... but with a new offense... the plan is to give the speedster more reps on the outside... which will allow him... jamire jordan sot "more one-one-one opportunities" when it comes to johnson obviously... the first thing that jumps out is the name. keesean johnson sot "it wasn't like my dad named me after keesean johnson, it was just a name that he liked and at the end of the day, it just turned out this way" his game has done the name... justice. he led the 'dogs in receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns a year ago... and spent this offseason, getting even better. keesean johnson sot "i've gained a little weight, got a little stronger, so that's just the main things i've worked on, worked on little things, getting in and out of my breaks, running routes" and the biggest development within this group... may be the return of damari scott. he's back for his senior season after taking a redshirt last year... cause of an eligibility issue. on the field... his production has never been questioned... averaging nearly 18 yards per catch in 35 career games. chason virgil sot "damari is just damari, just a dog" jamire jordan sot "you know, last year, we were missing a big part, damari, so now that we have him back, i feel like it adds another dimension to our team" kirby moore sot "damari is awesome, he's one of the smartest workers on this team, every day watching film, in the weight room, in the training room, doing everything he can" jeff tedford sot "as far as depth and throughout, i think it's as strong as some of the pac-12 receiving cores that we've had... i think that's a group that has the potential to be huge playmakers for us" andrew scott bemis reporting... the bulldogs will be without one of their wide receivers this season. delvon hardaway. he was lost for the season the first week
