Vinny & Bay's Coffee Shop and Eatery Fri, 01 Sep 2017 03:06:13 +0000 Vinny & Bay's Coffee Shop and Eatery Vinny & Bay's Coffee Shop and Eatery WMBB a new coffee shop in downtown panama city is brewing up more than cups of coffee, it's brewing opportunity. as news 13's kirsten mitchell tells us, a story of friendship started it all. however you like your coffee.... baylee hanson, future barista "i dont drink black coffee though" you're sure to get it with a smile at vinny & bay's coffee shop and eatery on 4th and harrison in panama city. baylee hanson, future barista "i think it's pretty cool" 19 year old madeline lovejoy and 21 year old baylee hanson met four years ago at school. madeline lovejoy, future barista "she just looked like a good person to be friends with" that friendship has grown into something much bigger, a business. madeline lovejoy, future barista "i know that there aren't many opportunities for people with special needs so i wanted to find something for them and we didnt have any coffee shops on harrison avenue so i thought it would be a good fit." inspired by baylee, madeline plans to hire people who have special needs to serve up some inspiration. madeline lovejoy, future barista "i'm excited to show the community just how capable all of my friends are and hopefully more businesses will catch on and do the same thing" baylee's mother kathy says this oportunity is one that cannot be passed up. kathy hanson, baylee's mother "and i know she's safe i know its a good environment, you know just a piece of mind and i know she is really going to grow from it too." and so will customers. kathy hanson, baylee's mother "she is just precious, a heart of gold, she lives in the moment and we can learn so much from that." and she can prove that people like her are just like everybody else. kathy hanson, baylee's mother "they are typical normal young adults that want the same things that others want." in just a few short weeks the shop will be complete and the doors will open. kathy hanson, baylee's mother "everybody will be blessed i mean everybody will be blessed from this." in panama city kirsten mitchell news 13. the name vinny comes from another friend of madeline's who has autism. they plan to work with the arc of the bay for employment needs.
