"the kingsman: the golden cirlce" made thirty nine million dollars in its opening week. fans of soul music are mourning the death of singer charles bradley. he passed away in new york last night, surrounded by his family, friends and bandmates. bradley canceled his performances earlier this year because of a stomach cancer. bradley earned himself the nickname "the screaming eagle of soul", for his raspy voice and james brown-inspired performances. he was 68-years old. demi lovato is working to help children in war-torn regions. this weekend, the singer was named a "global citizen" ambassador, to champion the mental health of young people scarred by violence in places like iraq, where fighting has displaced more than three-million people since 20-14. lovato, who's shared her own struggles with mental health and other issues, will help fund an arts- related program through "save the children." shawn mendes is raising money to help those affected by the earthquake in mexico. the singer- songwriter is teaming up with the red cross for a fundraiser on crowdrise, part of gofundme. mendes and his team got things started by donating 100- thousand dollars to the effort. mendes was in mexico city getting ready for a concert when the quake hit last week. as of this morning, he has raised more than 178-thousand dollars. tom hanks is looking to sweden! he and wife rita wilson will produce, and hanks will star in, a remake of the swedish film "a man called ove" , about an elderly grump convinced he has nothing to look forward to in life. the source material is solid: the original was nominated for two oscars this year, and the novel on which it's based was on the new york times best-seller list for 77 straight weeks. we'll join allison davis in the kitchen after the break to pull together
