http://chic.clipsyndicate.com/video/playlist/12463/7138012?cpt=8&wpid=2637 Fri, 20 Oct 2017 15:15:19 +0000 “Only the Brave”: Film Critic Chuck Koplinski “Only the Brave”: Film Critic Chuck Koplinski, Dinner and a Movie. http://chic.clipsyndicate.com/video/playlist/12463/7138012?cpt=8&wpid=2637 WCIA an intelligent way. while you might not agree with all of the characters, you understand why they are doing what they're doing. i liked the foreigner much more than i thought i would. good film. >>heather: do you like it more then only the brave? >> no. this was a major surprise. these movies are tricky when you are dealing with real-life heroes. it's easy to overstate things. these real-life guys are saying, give me a break. they really take a nice step back. this is about the granite mountain hotshots. in which 19 of the 20 members were killed in an arizona forest fire. this movie takes its time. it takes a place about 2-3 years before the fire. the berlin character gives it to him in this fire crew. the movie takes its time and you see the relationship built between these men. you see the friendships that form and that makes the ultimate tragedy all the more moving. when you see what these guys though i wasn't being manipulated. i felt they were being honest and i got to know these guys and i understood their sacrifice and their loss. very big surprise with only the brave. i went and skeptical and came out, moved. >>matt: what do you think of miles teller? >> miles teller - - he's not looking for the same old thing every time and i admire that. >>matt: talk about timing for this movie with the fire: wildfires ranging out west. is that good or bad? >> i think it's good. i think we take these guys for granted and it really brings home their sacrifice. also how quickly these things spread. i really liked this one. >>heather: sounds like two winners at this weekend's box office.
