Baseball highlights Video: NLCS 6
Baseball highlights Wed, 18 Oct 2017 22:22:25 +0000 NLCS 6 Baseball highlights WQRF FOX four game winning streak in them, now is the time to pull it off. they need that to avoid getting bounced from the playoffs by the dodgers. tonight they're just focused on getting one win in game four of the n-l-c-s. scott leber is back at wrigley field this evening. he joins us live. scott what's the cubs' attitude about this game? ((scott)) they're trying to look at this situation as positively as they can. kris bryant says they'll come out and play loose because they have nothing to loose now. the pressure's off. no one expects them to win down three games to none. there's a grain of truth in that, but the cubs know they're in trouble. and they'll be facing another solid pitcher tonight in the dodgers alex wood. he was 16-3 during the regular season. in one start against the cubs this season he held them to one run and he struck out 12. the cubs haven't hit any pitcher the dodgers have trouted out there this series. they've scored four runs total in three games. is joe maddon surprised that his potent lineup has been reduced to this? ((joe maddon, cubs manager)) "it's somewhat surprising. a little bit. i don't want to use the word disappointed. our guys are really working very hard. they've pitched well. we hit a couple balls well, but overall the three games i guess their relief pitchers have pretty much thrown a no-hitter against us so they've been pretty good." ((scott)) more like perfect. the dodgers bullpen has thrown 16 and two-thirds scoreless innings going back to the diamondbacks series. in all these years of playoff baseball only once has a team come back from a 3-0 deficit to win. that was the 2004 boston red sox in the alcs against the yankees. by the way cubs president theo epstein was running the show in boston again, but maybe theo can make that happen again here. tonight's game begins at eight o'clock. reporting live from wrigley field i'm scott leber. ((josh)) thanks scott. game five
