our first guest has received over 4000 views on youtube for her anti-bullying using video which is grown into a collaboration with none other than the memphis grizzlies. her message is simple, together we can dance. from the cyberspace and the real world, welcome propelling the anti-bullying movement. thank you so much for being here with us. tell me a little bit about how this whole journey began. >> it begin because i was bullied a lot in sixth and seventh grade. i just wanted to bring out the movement to let everyone know that if you are being bullied you can do whatever you put your mind to to do with and to let you know you can do this. just keep striving to what you want to do because look where i am now. i'm achieving my goals and everyone can be free to do what you want to do. my goal is to be famous either through my music and also put a big impact on the bullying like stop the bullying and stop the violence to let everyone know that do positive things. >>anchor: we are getting there. what is your involvement with the movement? >> i am the director of the event first and foremost thank you so much for allowing us the opportunity to come in and speak about this issue of bullying. what we have established, maurice, ellen time, myself, kimberly walter, we have teamed up and we created movement called stop the bullying to work. bully the ball is a character to come back bullying always a country through entertainment and resolve. we all can agree. bullying is a growing academic. >>anchor: especially with social media and the internet. >> absolutely in which we must attend to and treat it with a candid approach and allow people to see the seriousness of this issue and the consequences once it strikes. i was looking at a lot of these statistics when it comes to bullying. 28 percent of the students sixth grade through 12th grade have been bullied and 20 percent of the bullied ninth through 12th grade. approximately 30 percent of young people has met bullying. this is well needed. they stop the bullying to work and what the bully the bowl is we have a speaker which will be speaking about all the various types of bullying, cyber bullying school bullying and he will also be providing resolution for those type of situation you encounter. we also have young embrace would be performing. >>anchor: i read that right here. >> bully the ball is behind it. he will be participating throughout the tour as well so i feel like it is very essential that we keep the awareness of the bullying at the forefront and continue to decrease it effect and save lives. >>anchor: absolutely. >> we are going to continue to do our best to make an impact in memphis, not just here locally, but taken on nationally. we appreciate you for having us. >>anchor: we have a music video. this is user performed, correct? >> yes ma'am. >>anchor: tell me about the name " embrace.". >> this is my name of course and embrace has a meaning behind it which means the reality of the circumstances because i have diabetes. i've had it since i was three. that's where my name came from and my father offered to come up with the name and stuff like that. the music video came about. i made this song in two weeks later a video came. >>anchor: and then you got in with the grizzlies also. however they called? how are they involved? >> we got a certificate from them like the one that is behind the movie. i went got a certificate from the video. it was really exciting because it was my first time for everything. >>anchor: how can we book you and only to bully to get involved? >> you can contact myself and the number is on the screen as well as maurice. his number will be on the screen as well. i want to say we appreciate those who were involved in support us like the grizzly and i heart media. >>anchor: wonderful. >> coordinated school health are supporting us as well. there are so many other organizations and individuals that are doing positive things in memphis and making an impact on the city of memphis and a lot of times we are looked at as one of the most negative or dangerous cities. we want to use this platform to let it be known that there is a lot of positive energy in memphis. curtis givens, like we do jones, fred jones like so many people are making a positive impact so we want to continue to do that. we want to show that we care and care about our youth and bullying, we're going to combat the liang. you have someone that is going to be there for you. >>anchor: thank you all so much for being with us today. i get bully the bull tour. we have five days left of the best of home show. we
