http://chic.clipsyndicate.com/video/playlist/12503/7204969?cpt=8&wpid=2637 Wed, 06 Dec 2017 17:42:39 +0000 Holiday Gift Ideas for Photographers Jamey Tucker looks at different tech gifts to give your videos the Hollywood look. http://chic.clipsyndicate.com/video/playlist/12503/7204969?cpt=8&wpid=2637 WAAY ABC Huntsville, AL imagine this...hollywood directors are now using i- phones to shoot movies set to be released in theaters next year. our tech guy, jamie tucker, looks at different tech gifts to give your videos the hollywood look. few things make a video look amateurish more than shaky shots. you may have seen this gadget advertised on facebook, it's the smove smartphone stabilizer. the idea is to place your smartphone in the hand-held battery powered steady-cam to remove the shakes you get when trying to hold the phone in your hands. balance the phone in the smove and turn it on. it's supposed to stay steady no matter how much you move. at this christmas parade the smove allows me to get video even from far away without shaking. it also keeps the camera steady while i'm walking. it works pretty well, it's 150 dollars. ---- my choice though is the stayblcam. very simple to use. it's like a selfie-stick but it's weighted to keep the phone balanced. i've found videos shot with the stayblcam are as smooth as more expensive stabilizers. it's easy to carry around and easy to set up. it's nice to be able to use it to get shots from above the crowd. and, it's only $75.--- a wide-angle lens makes videos look more like videos from hollywood and expensive cameras. the ollo clip fits right over the camera lens or built into a special phone case. the ollo clip is the go-to wide-angle lens for thousands of professional smartphone videographers. ollo-clip lenses are phone specific so make sure you get the right one. they're priced around 80-dollars. --- the sandmarc wide-angle lens looks impressive and it is. this pro-lens makes a big difference in the shots you get with a phone. check out the difference. this is the shot with a standard iphone lens. and this is the same shot with the lens on. notice how much more you can see. with the standard lens you only see part of this large nativity scene. with a wide-angle lens, i can capture it all. it's amazing how good iphone cameras are now and
