RAIDERS WIN STATE Mon, 11 Dec 2017 03:42:34 +0000 SOUTHRIDGE FOOTBALL IN STUDIO RAIDERS WIN STATE WEVV kicks off april 29. the southridge raiders were a great story from the very beginning ... obviously not the biggest school in our viewing area ... but definitely one of the top teams in terms of talent and heart. and for the raiders fans to see the players cap it all off with a state championship ... the season can only be described in one word. legendary. mission accomplished (nat pop) with the two point conversion to win out-right ... the raiders closed the chapter on their fairy tale. "... really rooting for the raiders and it felt cool." be legendary ... work hard ... good things come to good people ... all words to live by ... but to some they are just wishful thinking. however ... to southridge ... the words of wisdom are an every-day routine. "... you know ... like a leader would." but most of all ... the winning attitude is thanks to the seniors on the team ... where hart-key ... harter ... and many others set the precedent of hard work. "... just the truth with this group." but all of the practicing and sharping of skills had one final challenge in the state championship game. "... well it already has." the win was raider football at its finest ... as the boys from huntingburg brought a trophy home for not just themselves ... but for generations of raiders. "...make me remember this for the rest of my life." and if that doesn't do it ... surely the gigantic trophy ... and shiny medals will remind each player of the day they overcame all the odds ... and lived
