"calm" is apple's app of the year. a meditation app that millions of people are using every day. "calm" claims to help bring more clarity, joy and peace to daily life by guiding you through a few minutes of meditation. 3 minutes, 5, 10...whatever fits your schedule. there are different meditation programs to choose from. mediation for beginners. to curb anxiety, to help you sleep, focus, relieve stress, and several others. let's try this 7 days of calming anxiety. sounds like something to help through the holidays. it doesn't promise to end anxiety but how to 'ride the waves of anxiety". a voice guides you through the exercise, instructing you to breathe in and breathe out. while calming sounds play in the e app suggests meditation isn't a one-time thing but for maximum benefits people should meditate 10 consecutive days and calm will send reminders at a time you choose. unlike many meditation apps the meditation programs in calm don't all have mystical talk about the universe. the programs i've heard just seem to encourage people to let go of the stress or anxiety they're feeling. you can also pick a bedtime story to help you fall asleep. calm is a free app, but many of the advanced meditation programs aren't available unless you subscribe which costs 13 dollars a month or 60 dollars for the year. or, you can pay $300 for a lifetime subscription. calm is the most popular meditation app in apple's app store. a 5 star rating from more than 35 thousand users. i'm jamey tucker
