http://chic.clipsyndicate.com/video/playlist/12452/7220063?cpt=8&wpid=2637 Thu, 28 Dec 2017 04:28:50 +0000 Scores 2-Day: December 27, 2017 Bruins @ Comets, New Hartford @ Bishop Ludden boys basketball http://chic.clipsyndicate.com/video/playlist/12452/7220063?cpt=8&wpid=2637 WKTV feeling recharged and ready to continue to climb the standing in the north division. tonight - they take on the top team in the atlantic division in the providence bruins. this is the third meeting between these teams this year - the bruins took the first two in rhode island. the comets looking for revenge at home. --- first period - utica working it on the near boards - zack macewen chips it up to ashton sautner who wastes no time unleashing a slapshot from the point and that rocket finds the back of the net. comets strike first and grab a 1-0 lead. --- to the second - bruins on the forecheck. austin czarnik tries to center - blocked but second try gets it to jakob forsbacka-karlsson who slams it home. that ties it at one. --- shortly after - bruins still pushing - looking for their first lead. czarnik comes in all alone but thatcher demko shuts the door with the great left pad save to keep it even. 37 saves for demko tonight. --- late in the second - michael carcone has been red-hot of late. three-game point streak at home. make it four - comes up the right side with a burst of speed and spins around to center - it hits off a bruins defender and lands in the back of the net - comets back up 2-1... ...but in a wild third - the comets gave up a two- goal lead - with the bruins tying it with just over a minute left - and go on to lose in a shootout. final score 5-4 bruins. --- on the court - many local teams are participating in holiday tournaments this week - some have to travel away from home for it. the new hartford spartans boys were out in the syracuse area taking on the bishop ludden gaelic knights tonight. --- the spartans defense and offense was decent early on - here vinny perrotta swoops in to poke it loose and then off the steal takes it the other way and lays it in. good hustle play from the senior. --- later on - mike stappenbeck cutting to the hoop gets the pass and finishes with a hand in his face. spartans spreading the love. --- perrotta keeping the hot hand. gets it in the corner and unloads for three - good! perrotta finished with 19 for n-h tonight. --- but bishop ludden's offense impressive as well. this time its joe connor with the takeaway - and then he drives to the hoop finishing with the one- handed jam! ...the spartans try to keep pace - but the gaelic knights just too strong. final has ludden on top 66-42. elsewhere in boys basketball - c-v-a beats sauquoit in the west canada christmas tournament - 75-51. luke tulloch had 25 points, jacob schoff 18 points and ten assists for the thunder. west canada beats fort plain 56-41 - jacob smith with 13 for the indians who face c-v-a in the championship tomorrow. little falls is downed by schoharie 67-52. cal barnett with 12 points for the mounties in the loss. vvs tops holland patent 71-57 in their christmas tournament. girls side - waterville over lansingburgh 57-41 - janelle cleary and kathleen gallagher both had 12 points for the indians. little falls crushes oesj 76-26. arielle raux leads the way with 25 points for the mounties. r-f-a falls to baker 48-39. kelsey mccaskill put in 13 for the black knights. and notre dame beats cooperstown 49-39 in the dick white tournament. claire sehring with 22 for the jugglers. the syracuse
