High School Boys Basketball: Gulfport vs. Harrison Central

By Clip Syndicate
‘Tis the season for high school basketball on the Gulf Coast with several Christmas tournaments taking center court. The Gulfport Hardwood Holiday Classic has been a local tradition for more than three decades and the competition is stronger than ever in this year’s field. In the nightcap, it’s a winner’s bracket game between the home team Admirals and cross-town rival Harrison Central. Harrison Central wins 55-52. That pits Harrison Central in tomorrow’s championship game against Pascagoula who took down Brother Martin out of New Orleans in the third game of the day by 64-50. In the early games, it’s the Pine Belt schools taking down the Coast teams as Laurel gets the best of Coach Thompson and Picayune 64-58 and Oak Grove over Long Beach 52-49.
